Greetings Blair,
Not that I want to call myself a Rasta, I don't actively call myself a Rasta because I do not believe that HIM is Yesus Kristos or the Father and I know many would think that I am if I would. On the other hand there are many Rastafarian Idren who choose otherwise and call themselves Rasta because they are Rasta from creation.
But this is the whole thing: I do not agree with you that the Rastafarian Identity of someone should neccesarily include a vision of Selassie as Incarnated Part of the Trinity. You are by-passing the statements of Gadman. No matter how you think about Gadman and the EOC, I think that this condemnation on the heads of this church and on Gadman/12 Tribes is not justified, no matter how political incorrect I might be..
Many Rastafarians who are digging the Anti Christian vibe are the first to speak about their own divinity and that Selassie showed them the way to realizing that and so on.
I think, that there are many Rastafarians who are also Christian in their believes. It was their Rastafarianity that led them to this. Gadman is only one, but there are many more.
I know it's not "Political Correct" to speak about Christianity, especially not as it relates to Rastafari, but in my view the two are connected together.
