Even though we disagree on the topic of interracial relationships, we tend to agree on most points concerning our people. People have differing opinions and that is more than fine, as long as we are still united in our struggle. I don't believe a white person can claim to represent black interests, and I don't believe any should try. We can all forward our own lives and that of the human race, without seeking to 'become' someone else. Us black people still face many struggles in this day, and those are our problems to deal with. A white person who would like to play a role in helping us is always welcome, as long as it's remembered that they play a helping, not controlling role.

My belief is that Garveyism is a black cause. It's impossible for any white person to claim to follow the cause of Garvey. Garvey's goal was the forwarding of black people, while I see HIM's goal as the forwarding of the whole human race. Us black people can worry about the uplifting of ourselves and humanity, while the white Ras can worry about the uplifting of his people and humanity.
