I for one is not convinced I am fed up of them coming in and telling us about us. You know what the real issue is it ain't rasfael wanting to have the title Ras it's about us black people loving ourselves, trusting each other not wanting kill each other for crack, guns etc. For our men to stand by our women and defend the youths. To be economically and polictically independent. Then maybe we can talk about earning the title Ras. I don't care what rasfael wants to call himself because at the end of the day he hasn't got our best interest @ heart. We live in a strange world where they want to be us and some of us want to be them. Step up! what have we got to do to earn the title Ras. There are many black people who don't dread and don't call themselves ras but who are positive in their doing. Man and Man get vex because we need to carry the works not just chant Rastafari When Ras first came about in England their was fear from the state, communities etc. Now what has happened is that many have become weary cut their locks to get work because they assumed that Rasta didn't work or have an education, converted to Christanity (found out that Selassie ain't god?........Nevertheless black people still look to Rasta as the voice. Many black people feel betrayed because of the mix and blend that occurs in rasta. I can hear the cries of it's about one love, yeh one love in a Sudan, one love in a Congo, one love in a Niger,. One love don't put food on these people's plates. I better stop!
