Greetinga Bantu Kelani,
and give thanks for your contined reasoning on this...
You quite rightly pointed out,
"but as long as you do not encourage the mass intellectual, cultural and political uprising of your people against the corporate tax-cheating politicians your governments you still will be providing aid to them."
.. and i couldnt agree more. This is exactly what i am all about, and in many ways the original email i posted was all about getting otehr white people to have a talk ablut the strategies and tactics that we apply to this very problem. As i hope i have made clear i dont think violence is the correct solution, but that still leaves a myriad of alternatives.
As for the internal-external thing, my main idea here is that unless people get themselves sorted out (whether that be 'first' or simultaneously with more external revolutionary action) then all that will end up happening is more of the same with different labels and players.
And as for my focus, i suppose that for me, in my particular geographic context there are a number of extremely pressing local concerns that i think my energy is best expended on, such as the question of indigenous rights. Its not that i dont think that the plight of african people is worthy of my concern, but more that i believ i can get maximum output for my efforts by concentrating on things closer to home.
Once again i give thanks for your taking the time to reason with i&i. It is always worth my getting a slight scorching to sort these sorts of things out i think.
love and life
