Re: The Great Egyptians

Blessings Rason!!

How is the I doing. A few points that should be taken. When studying mythology, there are two forms 1) Diffusion; and 2) parallel origin. Diffusion theory holds that a handful of myths were globally spread through travel, trade, conquest and other forms of human contact. Parallel origins state that humans in different areas developed similar myths because the basic constituents of mythology are everywhere the same. Now, obviously if human consciousness was born in Africa, then mythological stories will have its origin in Africa, however, concepts like "Plaguerism" did not exist in ancient times. If a society was given a story and culturalized it to their people, that was simply sharing the knowledge. Interesting enough, there was a show on Discovery channel called "Who was Moses". It was quite interesting. They found some proof and Egytpian writings that do correspond with the Exodus story. Mind you, we all know about Oral Tradition. If the Exodus story was to happen 4,500 years ago, and the Bible was finally put into writing 3,500 years ago, u are talking about a story that lasted 1,000 years, therefore it stands to reason that the story went through a few embellishments. Well, that is my two cents. Remember, Absence of Evidence is not Evidence of Absence.
