Is it to hard to imagine that perhaps Hebrew, Egyptian, and ancient Babylonian accounts of history are similar because they are describing the same events? And as far as literal translations of bible "stories" (as you all so irreverently dismiss them), common sense gives you the discretion needed to overstand what is to be taken literally (such as the Law) and what is to be taken figuratively (such as the "rib").

InI have known for long time that the Bible's roots are in Africa. IF MOSES WAS NOT BLACK LIKE THE EGYPTIANS (whom Herodotus made were a people of black skin and wooly hair), HOW WOULD HE HAVE SURVIVED IN PHAROAH'S HOUSE????

As for roots(womb)man's statement that the teachings of Jesus were "twisted", you have to take into account that they were written after the "departure" of Jesus and in Greek
