* i think we have to understand though - that it is not JUST about the white majority of the U.S. anymore. this is about America asserting herself on the world stage which is majority color. while it CAN be framed as the internal struggle of non-white people within the context of the U.S. culture to reach the pinnacle of achievement, it is necessary to frame the American ideology as being universal world-wide, not JUST about white rule.
