".......Colored (also coloured in Canadian spelling) is a North American euphemism once widely regarded as a description of black people (i.e., persons of sub-Saharan African ancestry; members of the "Black race"). It should not be confused with the more recent term people of color, which attempts to describe all "non-white peoples", not just blacks."
More hoodwinking and bamboozeling; it should be obvious that this was done in an effort to secure the support of the African-Americans who outnumbered the Jews who also were subjected to racism. Note the "coloreds" refered to African-Americans who were no longer Africans as their blood had already been diluted with the blood of the slave master.
