I mus'nt be understanding you then.
I am simply saying,that the few men who governed the institution and the institution of RC church and the country back then have continued their business,but you wont get killed as readily for going against the church.I may be wrong but I dont think there was a place for anti RC's back then.There are Rastafarians who were born and raised in Italy today,so what,I dont think many Italians call themselves Romans now days either.
