If you would overlook some of my outrageous output, I would be glad to reason with you if you do not mind.
Particularly, I am interested in what you meant by being raised "atheist".
Reason is, I do not believe that there is true atheistic thought. There is 'agnostic' for sure but I feel that it is impossible to be truly 'atheistic'.
