Re: The case is accepted Oromo
In Response To: The case is accepted Oromo ()

i agree about the unity of africans.oromos may well consider themselves ethiopian if it weren't for the brutal treatment they have received from menilik's time up to and including the present.most rastas, most people in the west, africans at home and abroad, and even many ethiopians do not know of the history of oppression that the oromo have suffered.my mission here is to educate and inform people of the truth concerning the oromo and other peoples that were colonized by ethiopia.i am not seeking anyone to turn their back on haile selassie or to discredit the good that he has done or to deny the inspirarion rastafari provides.i respect all faiths and ways of life that don't hurt others.successive ethiopian governments have denied the truth of the oromo for over a century and have not worked towards a fair and equal settlement of the problems.as peter tosh says "equal rights and justice","you can't have peace without equal rights".oromo people seek the basic human right to live their own culture.this could have happened within ethiopia had the government honestly worked in this direction but this has not been the case.this is what the fight is about and like any oppression the fight will continue until there are equal rights for all.
