I hear you. So - in a lawful society - we need people who will actually follow the law who are in power. This begs the question - what tools exist in our country that allow for folks to lawfully resist what seem to be power grabs by the "well-connected"? Some say the states have lawful authority to resist federal mandates and others say that the county sheriff is the arbiter - on a local level - who is in charge with actually enforcing federal mandates.
Of course we have heard rumblings about the 10th amendment from the right - but are they onto something? And if so maybe the discourse for these matters does not necessarily need to be overwhelmingly used for the purposes of certain "right wing" political agendas. And how can that effect - for instance - the right for a state to refuse to deploy its national guard for illegal federally mandated wars? Or the right for a state to deny payments for illegal bailouts signed into law by the federal government? Or mandated purchasing of corporate controlled healthcare? How about state run banks that are outside the centralized privately controlled federal reserve bank? How about local/state stock exchanges that direct investments out of Wall Street and into local economies? Etc. . .
