Repatriation debates can be strained when people engage them with a fixed position that does not incorporate our wider history.

I think it is good for Black Africans to consider moving to Africa. If they feel to return to Africa, then they should. All Black Africans do not have to return and reside in Africa in order to assist in the development of Africa and Black Africans. Everything depends on what is motivating individuals. If they are thinking in terms of their personal development alongside aiding the development of other Black Africans then they can contribute from anywhere. People can facilitate from right where they are if they are able to take care of their needs along with generating excess resources to assist others.

Africans in the Diaspora who did not freely leave Africa to reside in the West have a compelling case to be anywhere they want. Other than that people would generally move to where they feel they would get better opportunities, much the same as Africans have done from time immemorial. Indigenous people had a symbiotic relationship with each other and the rest of nature. However, the colonizers and colonized people today are more parasitical.

The strain is the result of some Africans now interpreting what is in their best interest only in terms of their personal short-term material gains. They do not feel a commitment to the wider African Community and by extension humanity and the rest of nature. This lack of vision is based on Capitalist European ways that have been imposed on then imitated by Black Africans.

Today most Diasporan Africans do not even consider visiting Africa (further more physically relocating) because of poor conditioning. So a focus on Africa for holiday travel, student and other cultural exchanges can assist in breaking poor conditioning.
