Yes, I agree with you about soukous. It is beautiful music. I like all the names you called : Koffi Olomide, and the men from Wenge Musica, I also like Victoria Eleison, Empire Bakuba, Viva La Musica, Anti-Choc, Choc Stars, Zaiko Langa Langa, Orchestre Lipua Lipua, Les Grande Maquissards, OK Jazz, Africa Fiesta... it is a long list.

I love Congolese music, when I was growing up, it used to be on the radio in the afternoon, in the evening, whenever. And I think music is a great way to spread the use of a language. When the tune is good, you pay attention to the words and if you listen to a type of music often, you find yourself remembering the words. From there, all you need is a way of finding the meaning.

A question : Is Lingala tied to any particular nationality in Congo? I know that there are people in East Africa and Central Africa who call themselves Swahili, are there any Lingala people or is it a language that various people developed?
