i&i was listening to the radio yesterday and they were interviewing a man who had spent much time with the upik people of (i think) northern canada or greenland. He said that they had a tradition wher if they find a piece of wood in the tundra they always turn it over so that the damp underside faces the sun and dries out. He asked the m why and was told that they did this as a service to the wood, and that the wood will return the service by being able to be burned and give off heat when someone is cold and in need. unity, love, livity, it really is that simple, or as the i would say, natural.
