I think there is an alternative use... Symbolic language.
The Ankh represents the male and female balance in life. Symbolic language is important and very useful IMO. Symbols are used every day to oppress us spiritually and physically. The symbol of the Ankh can be used to liberate us from imbalance, gender oppression, and the concealment and ommission of the ancient African origin of things...IMO that is very useful.
