Re: Rasta MUST think about capoeira ?

Greetings Ras Mandigo!

ALL combatives originate from the Mother Land, and was adopted and some modified by the Asians. All boys who go through manhood training were innitiated into the Art of Combatives/Warrior, from kicking, boxing, martial arts, and stick fighting.

Our ancestrial combatives are known as N'oboro; Capoeira; MgBwa; Gidigbo; Batonique and The Kalinda and Kalunga. There is a book called "The saga of the fist" that stated that "boxing" was originally developed in Ethiopia.

As RasTafari are not only high priests, but also WARRIORS/SOUL-JAHS, then it would BEHOOVE us to learn our ancestral arts. Nubian Locks were worn by warriors, before Rastafari (as it is known today) came about. Look at our brothahz in Senegal who are dreadlocked warriors, or the Mau Mau revolutionary warrriors of Kenya. Rasta is about RESISTANCE to babylon, and ALL brothahz (and SISTAHS) should learn combatives, as it is MORE than "fighting", but it is about MASTERING SELF, and ovestanding AXE (energy).

Again Ras, give thanks for post and good reasonings the I puts forward on this board!
