Jamaica was still under British rule, so, variuos british governors would come to Jamaica to rule from time to time, and most of the time they would name various parts of Jamaica after those white british governor. Like Slivo Ville was named after Lord Sligo, and Trelawny was name after Governor Trelawny, then Denham Town was named after Governor Denham and much more too much to be mention here. Norman Washington Manley Statute is now sitting where Queen Victoria the slave mistress Statute used to be, right in Kingston Jamaica at the parade in the middle of the park on King Street. When Jamaica became so called independent in 1962, they removed Queen Victoria Statute and replaced it with the Statute of Norman Washington Manley.

Strange enough, the last british governor who was ruling Jamaica before Jamaice became independent, his name was Kenneth Blackburne, what did I say, Kenneth Blackburne. I can remember him paying a visit to Western Kingston and was at the former Ebenezer School which was where people would walk to go to Back O wall, which was a large piece of land where poor black people lived as a captured land, so, they took him down there under heavy police gaurd to observe the place and to give his opinion about the bad conditions, and this was what he said,
THIS IS A BLACK SPOT IN WESTERN kINGSTON, AND IT WILL HAVE TO BE REMOVED. It was not long after that Kingston Pen which consist of Back O Wall and Ackee Walk was Buldosed and burned making the people homeless, with no alternative place provided for them to live. There is so much more to talk about from an historic point of view, but pen and paper will not be able to contain it all.
