Ras marcus, you seem to be a respected elder on this forum, therefore I approach you in peace & love.
I have read through this entire reasoning so far, and have noticed that the reasoning has gone in several different directions. No doubt that stems from InI diverse upbringing.
As far as my reasoning on the matter my lord, I believe that your post actually addresses two topics at once.
1)Should our children be exposed to same sex marriage?
2)Do homosexual behavior exist outside human relationships?
Allow me to deal with the first topic at hand. When one ask should our children be exposed to such behavior, it instantly shows the reader your opinion of the matter, that you see same sex marriage/homosexuality as a negative occurance within society. You believe that your way of life (heterosexuality) should be protected from those who engage in a different livity. That being said, you have the right to feel that way. Every time the white man goes to war, the first thing out of his mouth is, "WE ARE FIGHTING TO DEFEND OUR WAY OF LIFE". Yet when a black man say the same thing, now he must be challenged? I find that a double standard. If you feel that homosexuality is destroying your way of life, and destroying your future (the idren) then you have the right to fight for it, and stand for what you believe in.
As for answering the issue on homosexuality outside of the human species, well infact there is documented studies of homosexuality found in the animal kingdom.
That being said, what shall we say then?
Is it okay?
When one begin to answer these questions, one must determine the origin of the question?
Was the question asked from a religious objective, or was it asked from a scientific objective?
In other words, if it was asked from a scientific objective, then one may think that you are concerened with the lack of mating between humans, thus perhaps blamming homosexuaity as the cause of low birth rates.
However if one is asking the question based on a religious objective, then the question holds no real inquisition, other than morality being the issue. We all know that morals change from culture to culture, and nation to nation.
If morality lay at the central core of this reasoning, then by who's morality code are we abbiding by? African, Christian, muslim, Rasta, America, who exactly? Once those questions are examined, then we can better bring this reasoning to a head.
Just as a footnote, sex is used as a means to procreate. Therefore if anyone uses sex outside of that manner (be they heterosexual), then is he or she also morally inept?
Blessings to you KING MAN
