Ever since the Europeans invaded Mama Africa to carry on their criminal event of slave trading activities, African people resisted and they are still resisting until this very day. There was much resistance even at the slave castles, which resulted in the Europeans building a death chambers at the slave castle, for those of us who resisted, there is the door of no return but there is also a door into which those of us who resisted, would be forced to enter and would remain there until death, when ever one enters through thaat door, it was a death sentence that was past upon that person.
It must also be understood that when slavery was polished to a modern style, it was not done as a result of the goodness of the heart of Europeans, it was done because those African people who were enslaved, made it difficult for the slave trading business to prosper, as a result of uprisings and resistance which included many sabotages. Resistance including breaking tools and machineries, which were very have to be replaced, and if they could be replaced, would take six months or a year to be replaced at extremely hiher costs. Setting fires to sugar cane and other plantations, which diminished and destroyed the financial bottom lines of the slave masters, among other disasters which took place in their slave trading business as a result.
So, because the slave trading business was becoming not profitable, they began to urgue among themselves in their Parliament and social and political circles, whether they should abolish slavery or not. Well, there were some who think that they should, since it was not making any money as it used to do in the begining, and there were others who think that they should not, but instead they should hand out more severe punishment, to those people who were enslaved and were making trouble for the slave trading industry.
Anyway, by the time they urgued back and forth and could not find unity in purpose, the slave system began to be polished or abolished if you prefer, at different times during the nineteenth century in the Caribbean.
The slave trade was abolished or polished in Denmark in the year 1803, was abolished by great Britain in 1807, abolished by the French Government in 1817.In this same year 1817, the Spanish Government signed a treaty with Great Britain whereby it pledged itself to abolish the slave trade in the year 1820. Hollland proclaimed abolishion in 1818. Sweden in 1824. Now although slave trading was abolished in these years which were mentioned, please let it be understood, that slavery remained in existance for some time, although slave trading activities were abolished. When we reaason again, we may take a look at the abolishion of slavery it self. The journey of life continues. Take the best care of yourself and your people.
Again I send many oceans of blessings self determination to African people everywhere.
