His Majesty and her Majesty are to be praised for the good works which they have done for the Ethiopian people and for African people all over the world. There is no doubt that His Majesty and Her Majesty have made great contribution to
African people all over the world. When His Majesty went to agitate at Geneva he spoke on behalf of African people everywhere, and from then on he continued to fight against the poverty which plagued his people everywhere.
He worked very hard to change the poverty conditions in Ethiopia and worked hard for modern advancement in industries. Ethiopia slowly improved its ability to manufacture the goods needed by any modern society under the leadership of His Majesty. Things like textitles, steel, building materials, electrical equipment, paper products, chemicals, printing presses, shoes, and leather goods, among others. Ethiopia became a modern state under the leadership of His Majesty.
Food became an industry no longer just grown and eaten by growers, but shipped to processing plants
for canning, drying, freezing, packaging, distribution at home and shipping abroad. Production of this type rose from less than $30 million Ethiopin dollars, in 1955 to $140 million dollars in 1970. Similar advances were recorded in other industries:
Beverages,from $9.8 million to $63 million
Tobacco, from $4 million to $12 million
Textiles, from $39 milloin to $180 million
Shoes and leather products from $4 million to $45
million
Wood products, from $2 million to $20 million
Paper productsm, from nothing to $12.6 million
Building materials from $5million to $38.5million
Printing and publishing from $1million t0 $10.5
million
Chemicals, from $950,000 to $70.4 million
Metal and electrical products from nothing to
$106 million.
All of the above gains were made through the efforts of His Majesty through those three five year development plans, which would have become the Forth five year plan, which would have ended in 1975, if it was not for the interruption of the Ethiopia Government administration, which took place after a famine which killied about 100,000 people in Ethiopis in 1973.
So, from what I have read, His Majesty was a great Governmental leader and a great Diplomat, who was able to influence European goverments and countries to give technical and financial assistance, to the Ethiopian government and people in their struggle for prosperity among their people from generation to generation.
Take the best care of yourself and your people.
Again I send many oceans of blessings and self determination to African people everywhere.
ONE BLACK HEART ONE BLACK LOVE.
Baba Ras Marcus.
