HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY EMPEROR HAILE SELASSIE I
"Peace on Earth, goodwill to all men" - this was His frst message. In the same manner when He went to the summit of Calvary, there to expiate our sins with the supreme sacrifice. He gave up His life invoking forgiveness for all His tormentors: "Father forgive them, for they know what they do."
"In pondering over the life, the goodness, humanity and the sacrifice of the saviour of the world, in looking at the laws He gave us, how much should we be ashamed to call ourselves Christian people and not yet follow in His footsteps. Had we been worthy of the name, peace would have reigned on all the face of the earth, and we would have risen to the level of the immortal angels who always glorify the Eternal God, and the peoples of the world would no longer have remained divided into hostile camps.
