Rastafari Speaks

Re: The pope, not Nobel Obama, calls for Libyan pe

*****thought 1 - pope john paul ii made similar sermons about the wars in afghanistan and iraq.*****

Of course. It’s a church. But at least it polarizes the actions. A religious figurehead is denouncing the actions of violence. That beats calling it a holy war or crusade and rousting the multitude for battle as the Peace winner has.

*****thought 2 - a resurrected crusade against islam - are you sure the vatican doesn't have some role in it even if it's public representative makes a speech about peace?*****

Of course the vatican has a role as does the Protestant wing of Xtianity as well. They all work for the same cause. BUT, compare the impact upon the multitude of calling for peace on the holiest day of the year with the kook who burned Qurans in Florida. That directly caused people to lose their lives.

******thought 3 - the u.s. has long taken the baton of western imperialism and does the dirty work for a lot of these so-called progressive countries in europe to maintain themselves. the neo-cons were right when they said that the u.s. astronomical military budget ensures the ability for europe to maintain it's social democracy experiments - europe like the u.s. needs the iron fist of brute imperialism and resource grab to maintain it's high standard of living - imported oil, raw materials for tech, etc******

OK.

******thought 4 - how does the child rape scandal possibly blackmail the vatican into a pliant institution in the face of policies which would seem opposite it's public stance on issues of war?*****

I addressed this in a previous response.

*****thought 5 - what is the history of the vatican's involvement wi
th the cia - who is the tail, who is the dog and whom is wagging whom? things to keep in mind - the bcci scandal. the p2 lodge. the death of pope john paul the 1st(33 days into his reign) operation gladio.******

Who gives a damn! This is not about praising or indicting the frikkin Catholic Church. No need to serve as Prosecutor. No one is arguing the guile of that institution.

BUT, with all of its crimes against humanity, it’s the church through the voice of its supreme leader who calls for PEACE on its holiest day with the entire world watching. The point is that a BLACK president who EVERY BLACK PERSON ON THE GLOBE jumped up and down and held parties and cheered and danced about is the one who UNPRECEDENTEDLY drops missiles and bombs on Afrikan people. It’s the point that EVERYONE I know thinks that it was no problem because the DIVINE CHOSEN ONE can do no wrong because he is a messenger of God.

The reasoning was about how all this is playing out in front of us and we are too brainwashed to see it.

And you want to make this a discussion on the credibility of the Church???

Again, instead of sniffing the backsides of issuers, why not analyze the impact of making such stances?

The US, under the leadership of a Nobel Prize winner, made a stance of aggression and violence.
The Church made a stance of peace.

BOTH are the biggest hypocrites on Earth.

The edge goes to the one who conveyed a message of peace.

My thing is, doesn’t it bother ones on this forum, under the banner of black men such as Selassie and Garvey...under the banner of Rastafari, that today it is a black man who is the face and triggerman of european global supremacy?

Its not about Obama. Its about realizing that they have used the ULTIMATE phenotypical/egotistical mechanism to get you on board.

Its about YOU!
