I agree. And while I'm glad that the Justice Dept. did something about this . . . one always wonders about the nepotism that has been established between Google and this administration . . and where Verizon stands in all of this - who very much wants to "rule the air" . . .
I would just hope that there would be across the board enforcement of anti-trust.
As a sidenote - we have seen Warren Buffett call for higher taxes and a week later he bailed out Bank of America . . . I just always am suspicious of the duplicitous nature of the moves purportedly in the public interest.
Look at what Obama did about the Bureau for Consumer Affairs for example . . . he appointed a woman full of integrity as the head(Warren), but he allowed her to languish in an impotent position until such time when a much more "centrist" selection was actually given the position. I can't fully place the blame on "Republican" pressure - as the Black Agenda Report website has consistently pointed out - this administration may play as if it is always at the mercy of the Republicans but in reality did little when it had a majority in congress to actually make some "changes."
