Great article; basically a synopsis of those things we've discussed ad nauseum on this forum. There is irony in his selection of the "kosher certification" standards as the suggested standard for the wider society; when the wider society's legislature is comprised mostly of members of the "Kosher" society's preferred professions. I knew the American taxpayer funded the R&D budgets of Defense and Aerospace Contractors, didn't know they also funded Big Pharma; but I'm not surprised, sort of gives G.E.'s 2010 corporate tax return new perspective doesn't it? I wonder what Glaxo Smith Kline and Pfizer paid?
What's also interesting is how recent some of the changes occurred; like the law that took real pharmacists out of neighborhood pharmacies/drugstores. Remember those independent drugstores, which have now been replaced by a Wal-something or other? Coming from a society where a pharmacy actually housed a pharmacist, I couldn't understand the logic then; it's crystal now.
But these laws could not have been enacted without the public's help. Americans have been willing collaborators in their own demise; and it seems only appropriate that many are left awaiting the second coming of their Semitic messiah. He's about to be delivered.
