Is there ever a time where there is no matter in existence? It is believed that the universe originated from a singularity of matter which expanded via energy.
True vacuums are only theoretical.
As long as matter exists, then energy will exist.
Sound is just a kinetic expression of energy.
Likewise, IMO, consciousness will exist.
Tricky question though.
I think the first order of business would be define "consciousness".
