It serves us well to remember and admire the initial efforts by early JA-Rasta; but too often in organizations/movements the needs of the few begin to outweigh the needs of the many. This happens for reasons discussed, ad nauseum, (see Isciple's posts on hierarchy) previously on this forum.
Hence, we should all heed Ayinde's advice to begin with "self" When we begin with "self" that golden rule takes on a whole new vista and starts to manifest in places never before expected. But first we need to understand why the rule is "golden" and we'll only get there through introspection and self-realization.
Once we're there we'll begin to recognise those who are on the same path; we'll have begun in the words of Joseph Campbell, the "hero's journey.
