Yes I sistren "type of Christ" is just a theological title that is give to for example Jonah. When Jonah was in the belly of the beast this was a symbolical prophetic thing pointing out to Yesus death. That is what Yesus teach in the Bible. Some Christian theologists choose to call Jonah "type of Christ", yes stricktly human, not perfect, not to be worshipped, but to be studied.
