Arrogance is defined as a feeling or an impression of superiority manifested in an overbearing manner or presumptuous claims.
Arrogate: To claim or to seize without justification.
If people who use the word 'arrogant' understand the meaning, they will see that many Africans whom they considered arrogant are really Africans speaking with justification therefore cannot be arrogant. They will really have to prove that such Africans have superiority complexes and are making claims without justification.
Superiority complex and claims without justification are the qualifying hallmark of arrogance. The two must be present.
Many White people's confidence in their own uninformed comments is in reality arrogance.
Your Quote:
"This is, in my opinion, an IRREPARABLE difference between the races. For so many who BELIEVE themselves to be WELL-MEANING, WELL-INTENTIONED, NON-RACIST, NON-SUPPORTIVE of the "system".... also believe themselves to be NON-BENIFICIARIES of the system that we seek to destroy."
Why do you believe the differences are irreparable if I am interpreting this quote correctly?
