* is this REALLY where the idea of consitutional gov't came from? i believe indigenous societies were first in that regard.

"New England towns in the 17th century were nothing more than puritan church communities...people who came to america due to frustration with the church of England."

* true. but there were other people who came to A\america with different agendas. there is the history of the british coming to america in hopes of expanding the empire and establishing a "new atlantis." i think a lot of what we are taught abot the estabishment of the u.s. are fairy tales in relation to the true intent.
