i should not just say "left" - i should say the image in general that is being propagated about the administration.

for example there is a focus on the "born-again" characteristic of g.w., how "god" speaks to him and advises him. the increase in faith based initiatives and the focus on "push button" issues which are used to divide americans along party lines such as gay marriage and abortion.

there is a the belief that there is a theocracy in the making in the u.s. . . .

all these things are spun to create the idea that the current u.s. administration is moreso a christian one which is then used as a motivational factor for u.s. christians to support it.

the "left" tends to jump on these things to paint a certain picture of the character of the bush administration - this is more succinctly what i was referring to when i initially posed the question . . .
