I will continually bring up this issue as I come across information that adds to the discussion.

Sometimes the arrogance of light-skinned ones surpasses that of arrogant Whites as they fight to protect the status quo that gives them a sense of upward social mobility in an upside-down society. Then we have dark-skinned Blacks (in denial) who, for the very reasons that you mention, are defenders of the status quo. They do not know how to deal with their relationships when/if they have to face the reality of Colorism. They are also aggressively opposed to these debates.
