How do we fight this War?
In Response To: Re: How do we fight this War? ()

greetings bredrin,
yes man, exactly, but we already have an industry working, there are black producers and directors, writers and actors and many of these have seen some financial success, "we" even have a string of movie theaters to showcase the productions. not to say people who aspire to these works should not produce works of quality and substance at whatever means available because yes , i have seen shoestring ops, it's just that big players are already in position to push the envelope and are missing in action due to some marketing "genius" analysis as to what makes money and what does not .i have problems with Black movie productions subject content, this infantile affinity for romantisim ,to name one, whos capricious and hypocritical images continue to invade the minds of young and old alike. there has been some fine work produced, not bashin' the whole industry, but largely a great portion of dollars have been spent on whimsy. hollywood has no shortage of "heros" for white children, replete with achilles and sir william wallace, etc.....
when will Black "money" provide Black children with their historical heros ?
