and sorry for my absence, I have been busily buried in work for a few days and have not had the chance to think, much less reason.

I am a little unsure why you characterised what I said as double speak. the very nature of gentic selection is that it may occur by at least two mechanisms. The first is that whatever the mutation is, it is an advantage and its possesors are more able to reproduce. This may well have been the case in ice age europe, though I would need to defer to someone with a lot more expertise than I have to say why. The same could be said for different sorts of hair, eyes etc. And not just for 'white' people but anyone else for that matter, and there is much variation out there.

The second possibility is that of an accedintal, but otherwise harmless mutation, that may come along with other more useful changes. peope had been puzzling for years as to how domestic dogs have droopy ears and curled tails when none of their wolf ancestors do. They found that by breeding foxs for more 'tameness' they ended up, due to a lessening of adrenalin levels during development, with foxes that had droopy ears etc. And it may well be that 'whiteness' is like that, perhaps other adaptations to the cold environment ended up with this by product in this particular population.

As for where did white people come from... the answer to that is that they clearly migrated from what is now known as africa, probably following the coast, and probably to escape harsh climatic conditions that existed in the time of the great human migrations.

As for the psychopathic fear of being bred out, well I am not one for speaking on behalf of others. On a purely personal level it doesnt actually worry me, and seems to have a certain amount of likelihood or even inevitability to it. In places with very mixed populations it seems to be occuring as we speak. Oh well, if being melanin deficient has served out its functional usefulness then so be it. And whatever it is that the tail of sperm is made up of I have yet to see any evidence that it affects motility, or for that matter the relative fertility of different 'racial' groups. the biggest kiler of white fertitlity is education and prosperity. And perhaps that is for the best.
