Personally I see all this sin business is a ting to make we feel guilty about things we never done, or about our natural god-given instincts like sex--- sex as a "sin", who de rass came up with THAT one. If yu believe everybody born evil, that just give ya an excuse to go and do evil, because "Hey, everybody does." If you see everybody as being born basically good- possible to be influenced either way, but with more of a natural tendency to good than to evil- then ya hold yourself to a higher standard. You don't excuse yourself when ya do something wrong by saying "Oh it's just my sinful nature and I gots ta pray to Jeezas for forgiveness and say hail mary and blah de blah", ya don't beat yourself up or flagellate yourself either, ya just recognize that you've been influenced by living in a wicked system, and you try to combat that influence, so you could live up to how you naturally supposed to be. Loving, respectful, co-operative, tolerant, intelligent, all those good qualities.

"Born in sin"- a big bumbocloot trick. Yu ever hear about creative visualization? If you have an image of yourself as sinful, you will get more and more sinful. Have an image of yourself as good, you will get better.
