from what i have read and heard--it was a company called dupont who had alot of money invested in the cotton industry and when hemp was introduced into the market the cotton industry realised that hemp would almost if not entirely wipe out their industry--so dupont stepped in and made the thirties into "reefer madness" saying that smoking the herb would turn us into blithering, crazy idiots, of course it was alie and eventually the herb became illegal. IT IS A PLANT FROM THE EARTH--IT IS THERE FOR A PURPOSE.
