He's on point, you're on point and Tunisian Mohamed Bouazizi, was on point; but are Americans on point, can they be convinced to sacrifice their children in another war as oil prices soar and takes the cost of their basic needs along for the ride; will they be able to resist that All-American habit of scapegoating?
For now all comments to the blogs I'm reading suggests that liberal and conservative alike have no stomach for it, yet; but what happens when the face of the commander-in-chief is no longer 'black?' is yet to be ascertained.
We had this discussion a few years back about the innocence of Americans pre 9/11. All news reports after 9/11 talked about the innocence of those lives lost at the various crash sites; but if every American believes like you do and prefer to do nothing but reap the benefits of their government's aggression towards other nations then none of them are innocent and deserve whatever the consequences are for their government's actions abroad. Much will be made about the shooting of those airmen at a German airport but to the Croatian Muslims we're a monolith and our terrorist is their hero.
Bouazizi did not like his government's polices, whether they were inflicted on him at the request of the U.S. Gov't is irrelevant, the person inflicting the pain was the leader of his nation and he (Bouazizi) chose to make the ultimate sacrifice and as a consequence he awakened the citizens of his nation. Where is your American Hero?
As Mugabe is proving Western propaganda and mischief has its limitations. Your soul is your own unless you willingly give it up.
