I don't think that having a universal idea of a connection between all things is necessarily the same thing as a "monotheistic" tradition.
There is a connection between "Semitism" and "Aryanism" - and the "monotheistic" impulse. I think Karibkween's association between Brahma and Abraham is worth investigating. I would even say between "Krishna" and "Christos."
Western academia is strongly flavored by the taboo subject of discussing Semitic influences because of its own checkered past of use/abuse. I don't think that should deter the investigation though. I find it interesting that that Nazis adopted the swastika as their symbol - a supposed link to an "Aryan" past. Semitism vs. Aryanism has thus been posited so - but I think there are linkages that this argument obscures.
