Christ came not to destroy the law but to fullfill it. Christ stated, "before God's law passes away, that heaven and earth shall pass away". I do not feel that Christ did away with the law. The issue that Christ had with the pharisees, is that they were trying to find fault in him, using the law as their launching pad. Christ was a genius with the scriptures, and they could not trip him up. Even Satan could not. Christ even in the wilderness had a battle with Satan over the scriptures. You know the story.
