I used the North American term for bi-racialism as a metaphor for the bi-racial native Australian, merely to show the retention of meaning, or expression, despite years of language evolution. I could have used Mulatto, Median or Semite, and my meaning would be as clear.
There is also more to the term ab-original than meets the eye.
Compare: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ab_(Egyptian_heart-soul_concept)#Ib_.28heart.29
To: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Al
Both 'ab' and 'al' are products of the term 'au' as in au natural, with one caveat, 'ab' retains its auriginal nature, and 'al' expresses a combination of two separate natures. It is an al-teration as in al-chemy or an ab/ill omen (abominable). One defines a 'chip OF the old block' or the Son, the other represents a 'chip OFF the old block' or a Scion.
