A while back I posted information on the in utero effects of the hormone estrogen on the sexual orientation or sexual proclivity of males; information I obtained from Elaine Morgan's "Scars of Evolution." Morgan also dealt with neoteny as she made her case for the aquatic origins of modern humans.

I happened upon this site while reasearching something else, but it has proven quite provocative, it attempts to deal with subjects revelant to this thread. I can't say I agree with his conclusions but it makes for an interesting read. Enjoy

The book can be downloaded using Adobe. In chapter six, his theories on Autism, Barack Obama is likened to a pigeon. Many of his findings corroborate the now conventional wisdom that Autistic disorders occur more frequently with 'older' mothers or with females who give birth late in their reproductive cycle. Whether it reveals for good or ill, the neotenous nature of human evolution or suggest human reproductive aberration is still to be proven.
