You may well be right. Maybe continental Africans are so busy trying to stay alive that they don't have time to think about suicide. It could also be that European/Western culture is more individualist (some would say selfish), which may increase feelings of personal isolation that could contribute to a person wanting to commit suicide. I'm not saying I'm definitely right about this. Just speculating.
