And do you ever wonder why, despite Cuba's successes, its model for healthcare and food production isn't welcomed and adopted by other Caribbean and Latin American nations? Or for that matter the African-American community; the King-Drew medical facility is for sale after being shut down for mal-practices that pale in comparison to other hospitals (Kaiser and Cedars-Sinai for example) in Los Angeles. The facility once served the predominantly minority community of South-Central Los Angeles; and boasted the only emergency room "triage" in Los Angeles. A few hundred million could purchase and retrofit the facility; in turn it could provide employment, health services and quite probably become a nursery for African-American healthcare professionals; but where are the African-American millionaires; and are any of them capable of extending their vision for the future beyond 'Wall Street?'
