Merely speculating..could have been an answer maybe...probably... not.
Don't know many of the answers to your questions and have millions of my own..a lot to sort through
My religion?
Don't really use that term myself.
It is a spiritual battle I am engaged in of which I sight the New Testament mainly for answers as it was largely and in part written to the non-jews, for me.
The Old Testament is largely and in part the history of a particular people with whom I have no connection except in the Messiah and the beginnings of Genesis.
The OT is written about a people who came under their written Law, having transgressed it by their continual disobedience. I am not jewish or hebrew, tribally.
What is required of me is to ask, knock, seek, listen, see and hear and obey the call of the saviour...or in my personal case, my own nobody else's is to not to swear or eat meat cut my hair or bag people out not be hypocritical ETC ETC ETC and to PRAISE JAH IN COMPLETE AND UTTER THANKFULNESS THAT I WILL BE OUT OF THIS TRAVAIL ITERNALLY IVERMORE.
PLUS I practice yoga and meditation and read heaps, other than the NT, to try and find clues to all I answers.
