Any true African liberator will be teaching his or her people, that the slave names which most of us possess today were given on the slave plantations by the slave masters. Since we were considered to be merchandise and property to be bought and sold at the whims and fancy of the slave masters, we were all called by the slave masters name because we were branded with his or her name. All the African people who were owned by Mr Brown the slave master were given the name brown as his or her surname. Then if Mr Brown sold a brother or a sister to Mr Thomas, then that same brother or sister who used to be called Brown as a a sir name will then becomes Thomas and it goes on and on. There has been entire families who were taken away from Mama Africa, and has been brutalized across the middle passage, to the slave plantations of the Western Hemishere, who were sold to different slave masters from different parts of the country, and were separated and given defferent surnames, and were never able to see each other again for the rest of their life time, none of them know where each other is. And so their children who live and grow up with various surnames, and live in various parts of the country, grow up and meet each other and some times get married to their one relatives, each having different slave trading names, and that cause them not to consider that they are relatives, since their parents are long dead and gone, and their family history has been long lost So cousins could have married cousins not knowing since they all have different slave trading surnames, and they are from various parts of the country not knowing each other.
