i however was under the impression from some of i readins on accompong, that plenty African from the british presence got refugee wit the accompong dem an throughout other maroon town..

what i can gather is that there would always be some exception to whatever is written in them history book, so either way there was room for both occurences..(maybe dependent on time an location)
