I agree with brother Ayinde. How can Haile Selaissie be a symbol of divinity and revolution of the Black/African masses when he often criticized his African heritage? Selaissie openly favored his Arab ancestors (Solomonoid) over his Black/African one. Furthermore, that's a fact that the ruling Abyssinians Ethiopians is aloof at best and anti-Black at worst. Haile Selaissie was a mulatto form the privilege class. He knew nothing about the colonial hell, the reality of the oppression, the bottomless pit of hunger, brutality and hell faced by the masses of the African/the Black people of Ethiopia. IMO, he was a house Negro who preached to the sons and daughters of Africa to love their enemy. This was and still is a genocidal solution! By contrast, Marcus Garvey understood the hell of the majority Black/Africans. Far from escaping form our problem, his speeches and actions was completely Nationalist. Armed with a stronger, a more enthusiastic and motivated spirit, the honorable Marcus Garvey was a more impressive force against Euro-American Imperialism.
