I am still amused with people like you who are hell bent on giving cut and paste examples and supporting details with light foundation. You, like the member Israelite Anbessa, are in denial. You abundant posts have done nothing to refute what I have written. Ethiopia is far from being pure Black! It is a confirmed fact this nation is made of an ethnic mosaic. Haile Selassie I was not a pure, tall, robust Black/African similar in looks to Mandingos, Yorubas, Nubians or Nuers. He was a Semitic mulatto with light skinned, Caucasian features and dark circles around the eyes, features that are similar to the southern Arabs. Moreover, like all the Amhara people, this feudal monarch EMPHATICALLY and PROUDLY traced his fundamental ancestry from the people who came from what is modern-day Yemen Semitic. The Amharas call themselves “Amhara” because of the word “amari” meaning "pleasing, agreeable, beautiful and gracious." I wonder to whom they consider themselves "beautiful and gracious". To the dark-skinned African/Negroid Ethiopians who had not yet mixed with the invaders from the Semitic lands perhaps? Knowing this, no flawed history or propaganda will make me believe these people are pure Black/Africans and/or are proud members of the Black race.
The bold strategic propaganda maneuvre of Haile Selaissie, you copiously posted in this thread, was designed to discourage the international Blacks criticism of his racist Abyssinian rule in Ethiopia. Go and ask the southern half of Ethiopia, the groups such as the OROMO (relatives of the Boran-Gabara-Orma people in Kenya) and numerous others their status in this country? They will tell you it has been similar to the status of the South Sudanese vis a vis the ruling and Arab Sudanese in the north of the Sudan. I believe this to be true, for I am too aware of ther humiliating nature of their oppression. It has been kept on a low profile for too long that the non-Abyssinian populations were all but mere slaves to the Abyssinians for centuries. The Reign of Tafari Mekonnen alias Haile Selassie was no different.
You Rastafarians are all become such bu*******ers. You contradict yourselves heavily and you live comfortably with hypocrisy. The belief that this Semitic ruler was THE LIVING GOD & BLACK MESSIAH is a negative, racist, downward looking and a contemptuous one for the pure African/Blacks. Meanwhile, the Semitic Ethiopians, Libyans, Arabs and Europeans do not stall the improvement of their own people because of their religions. This brainwash of the invaders from the Semitic lands on our people to hate their own roots is real. It is your decision to accept the lies or whatever misconceptions that chain you, but do not influence any Black/African, such as myself, who have the resources and time to get deeper information on the basics of the Rastafari movement. It is my belief that a conscious Negroid/Black freedom fighter does not, and should not embrace a Semitic or White messianic figure but a dark-skinned nappy-headed Negroid/Black one who allows him or her to be themselves! As long as we Blacks feed our minds with deceit then we will remain powerless. And we will never be a threat to the Semitic and Euro-American Imperialism. If you or the member Israelite Anbessa truly are Black activists fighting the good fight you should have the Afrocentric inherent understanding to know where I am coming from. What ethnicity are you by the way?
