"How much value should Africans place on Haile Selassie given our long history and other historical figures?
Does Haile Selassie rise and shine above all the rest of historical African elders/Leaders?"
I am not an African by birth (except way way way back when, you know), but I had a thought when reading your post, because it can equally apply to other peoples as well, in regards to other leaders and spiritual figures from other cultures: isn't it okay for ones to have their chosen figure of respect and worship? Is it a matter of raising one above the other? Or just being more Inspired by certain ones, like Rasta's love of His Majesty?
Blessings
