The post above was just a synopsis of my early experiences with marijuana.
I gave my observations of people who got lower after smoking marijuana and others who got high, to some extent. But then again, even without smoking, people can get high or low and destructive.
I am not trying to come down on marijuana or its users as people can be indulging themselves because they believe it is correct, and some people attain a certain amount of relief with it. People also use other crutches. They do so until they understand better and have what it takes to move on. Everyone will have habits to surrender while developing.
In my view, there is no real difference between those who smoke marijuana and those who do not.
On a side note:
I knew Africans who did not consider themselves Rastafarians but had similar views to many Rastafarians about the divinity of Haile Selassie and some of them did not smoke marijuana. Again, I do not see any big difference between Africans who do not consider themselves Rastafarians and those who identify themselves with Rastafari.
There are Africans who look down on Rastafarians and Rastafarians who dismiss other Africans without reasoning and a careful consideration of each other's views and conduct. My interest is not to contribute to such divisions (which suit the agendas of others) but to encourage Africans across the board to engage in dialogue/reasoning in an effort to improve conduct, ideas and actions for African development.
